Nice tour

It’s a really good tour, with round trip transportation. Thr tour covers about 85% of what to see at the plantation. It does not include the nature boat tour and from slavery to freedom tours. I wish the current tour was an hour longer as when the plantation gets busy you start to fill rushed along. Overall I’d go again.

We had a great time touring the Magnolia plantation. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL, the tour guides were charismatic and funny. I’ve never been much of a history buff, but this tour made me want to go back and learn about the civil war all over again. This tour was one of my favorite things about my entire trip to Charleston. Weather was HOT and humid but we only walked for about 40 min (a lot in the shade) then rode a little open train with a nice breeze around the gardens, then were inside for the house tour so it was bearable even in 100 degree heat. They have a little cafe on site where we bought lunch and lots of water. It was a great time!! Transportation was easy. Highly recommend

Magnolia Plantation did not disappoint.

The drive into the plantation was breathtaking. The walking tour was wonderful. The wildlife visible on the tram ride was unexpected and a bonus. The only disappointment for my friend and me was that since we were on an arranged tour once the tram ride was completed we had less than an hour to view any gardens, get lunch, eat the lunch, visit the restroom and meet back at 1:25 pm to tour the first two floors of the home. I ate a hotdog after waiting in line 25 min. to order and receive food, while walking looking for the gardens which sadly we did not come across. But it was a great experience all in all.

Good—If you are a gardener…

Ease of ticket and transportation great. Most memorable— stories of the family For the price, staff at the house should have been in period dress and not the tight khakis one young lady had on. Antebellum dresses are also much cooler for the ladies to wear than our modern clothes!!!

Great and Brief

It was a wonderful tour with good service and convenient if you don’t have a car or direct transportation. The guide was polite and informative. My only recommendation would be to extend the tour time. We felt rushed and did not have time to explore on our own or take additional tours. An extra hour is needed.

Great introduction to Plantation Era
Louise_G

Great introduction into the Plantation era. Beautiful landscaped gardens. History narrative from guides did not properly address the slavery issues, so the "Slaves to Freedom" needs to be added. Overall, far too little time spent here. We chose the trip because there was transport included from Charleston.

Our shuttle driver was a delight and very informative. The only negative comments I have iareregarding the tram seating and operator. The tram seats should all be facing forward. Every time the driver said look to YOUR left/right, he should have indicated his left/right. Also, he should have had a better microphone as a lot of his speaking was done too softly. Also, I realize everything is on a schedule, but I felt that the tram operator drove a bit too fast for us to take photos of the wild & plant life.

Got bumped because I was a solo traveler. It was the last day of my trip so rebooking wasn’t an option. Would have liked a refund but was given” tour credit” instead. How useful on my last day of vacation
